My Story
I started Tangled Silver Magazine because, honestly, I couldn't find images of women with silver hair that spoke to me! Everything felt like outdated notions of grannies in rocking chairs, and I knew there had to be other women out there feeling the same.
When I was a little girl, one of my favorite things was brushing my grandmother's beautiful white hair on Saturday mornings. Now that I'm older, my silver reminds me of her. I used to dye it, but six years ago I decided to embrace my natural color. My grandkids even tell their friends their Nonna has "Elsa hair"! How cool is that?
We're not born fearing aging. Society teaches us that, but it's a natural part of life and something to be celebrated! That's why I created the magazine– to empower women to embrace their age and their authentic selves. To encourage women to define what that looks like for them because the secret sauce is that it looks different for each of us... as it should. There is no one that can do YOU better than you, so own it boldly.
